About Me
Welcome, Belle — I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Robin, the founder of Northern Belle Society — a modern circle for women who treasure the timeless beauty of a well-loved home, the grace of thoughtful gatherings, and the quiet pride that comes from doing things the traditional way — with a modern twist.
I believe in curating a peaceful, welcoming home that feels like a refuge from the noise outside. I believe in ladies taking joy in old-world pleasures — brewing tea in delicate cups, setting a table with fresh flowers, pressing linens crisp and clean, arranging pretty vases, tending a small garden, or simply savoring the slow rituals that make a house feel alive with warmth and care.
I created Northern Belle because I believe homemaking is more than chores and checklists — it’s an art, an act of love, and a lost craft worth reviving. I was raised with Sunday dinners that lasted for hours, linen napkins for the simplest meals, and the gentle hum of a home that felt welcoming to everyone who stepped inside.
It’s important to me — and to every Belle who joins this Society — that we see our homes as more than four walls. Our homes are our ministry to a broken world. They are a safe harbor for our families, our friends, and our communities — a place where weary souls can find warmth, comfort, and a little piece of peace when the world outside feels cold and rushed.
I went to law school in the Old South — Baton Rouge, Louisiana — and immediately found my place. Even though I’m a proud Missouri native, the Southern way of living spoke to my heart. It honored the values I hold dear: women nurturing their homes, managing the affairs of their households, and running their home economy with grace, strength, and a gentle touch.
Now, as a practicing attorney with my own law firm, I know firsthand the demands of modern life. But even with courtrooms and deadlines, I believe deeply in the ministry of a home-cooked meal and the calm of a tidy, well-loved house that gives my family a sense of peace in a chaotic world.
Since relocating back to Missouri, I started the Northern Belle Society to pay homage to the Southern Belle — but with my own spin. Though I’m not geographically there anymore, my heart still is — and this Society is for every woman who feels the same, no matter where she calls home. It’s for the modern woman who wants to stay grounded in timeless values in a world full of fleeting trends — a Belle who knows her home is her first and sweetest ministry.
Through beautiful journals, thoughtful templates, charming gear, seasonal gatherings, and a sisterhood of like-minded women, my hope is to help you slow down, savor the little things, and keep the lost art of homemaking alive — not just for ourselves, but as a gift to a world that needs softness and care.
So pour yourself a cup of tea, fluff your pillows, light your favorite candle — and settle in. We’re so glad you’re one of us.
With love and a warm welcome,
Robin
